WHO WE ARE

100 Women Who Care of Monmouth & Ocean counties is a "grassroots" gathering of women who meet on a regular basis to select a local non-profit organization to receive a donation from each member. We took a look around and saw that the world could use a little boost; by joining forces we can make a bigger impact than we can alone. There are countless local organizations in our area that need our help to do good works - this is a really easy way for us to help out!

We ask each member to commit to donating $50 per quarter, for a total donation of $200 per year.

At our quarterly meetings, any member can propose a worthy, vetted non-profit organization / charity / cause that she would like the group to consider donating to. The list of proposed organizations will go into a "hat" and 3 will be selected at random. The members proposing the charity can then give our group a 2-3 minute info session on the charity's mission, service, needs, etc. Members vote by show of hands, majority rules! Once a charity has been selected, members will write out a check directly to that charity, and all checks will be presented together to the charity.

If you propose a charity and it isn't selected, not to worry - you can always propose again at future meetings!

If you can't make it to the meeting, you will miss your chance to vote ...but never fear, you are always welcome to donate! We will post the selected charity on our Facebook group page, and you may mail in a check.
